BLOODY MOON INTERNATIONAL TOUR

OKT 2026 - MAY 2027

The dance performance Bloody Moon embarks on an international tour and can be experienced in Hong Kong, China in 2026, and in Chalon sur Saône, France in 2027.

A Colourful and Fantastical Celebration of Life
BLOODY MOON is an exuberant dance performance filled with humour, sensuality and vitality. A group of dancers performs their final dance in an intense embrace of life, while the awareness of its ending lingers beneath the surface. The performance balances between ecstasy and abyss and is inspired by the reflections of the French thinker Georges Bataille on desire, excess and madness. The work marks Danish Dance Theatre Artistic Director Marina Mascarell’s first world premiere for the company, offering audiences an experience of her choreographic universe in close dialogue with the dancers.

The costumes burst with vivid colours, featuring blood red lace and purple tulle playfully woven into the choreography. They stand in sharp contrast to the black and white floor, decorated by Marina Mascarell and the dancers themselves. The rhythmic music, incorporating percussion samples by Uffe Savery from Safri Duo, supports the pulsating universe of the performance. BLOODY MOON is a dazzling celebration that radiates joy and invites audiences into a vibrant tribute to the power of life.
