“The beauty of ‘Joseph_Kids’ is that we constantly see and sense the physical dance body interacting with technology” DANSTIDNINGEN
COMPUTER MAGIC, DANCE & THEATRE MEET IN WORLD-FAMOUS PERFORMANCE FOR CHILDREN
The critically acclaimed and humorous production JOSEPH_KIDS by the world-renowned Italian performer Alessandro Sciaroni has toured and delighted children in more than ten European countries. Now, Danish Dance Theatre has the opportunity to present the show to a children’s audience here in Denmark. JOSEPH_KIDS is pure computer magic, bridging the gap between the digital and analog worlds and demonstrating how technology can also make room for creativity. In the performance, we meet a man who projects his own reflection onto a computer screen, creating space for Western duels, superheroes, as well as surprising and peculiar projections. Technology triggers the performers physicality and pushes him to move in ways he never thought was possible. The piece has been staged at events such as Festival d’Automne à Paris, Le 104 – Paris, MAC – Créteil, Biennale de la Danse de Lyon, Toto Festival – Île de la Réunion, The Place – London, Bolzano Danza, Festival Theaterformen – Hannover, Mercat de les Flors – Barcelona, Charlerois Danse.
Get ready to experience this fun explosion of a performance, which turns our perception of technology slightly on its head.
After the show, there will be a small kids’ workshop together with dancers from Danish Dance Theatre combining movement and tecnology. The workshop is included in the ticket price and lasts 20 min.
The show is suitable for children from 5 years and onwards
