DANISH DANCE THEATRE’S SUMMER DANCE ON TOUR

AUG - SEP 2026 / Odense, Aarhus, Aalborg, Mors

Experience world class contemporary dance under the open sky in a city near you. Free admission.

Dansk Danseteater is excited to bring the company’s popular dance festival, Dansk Danseteater’s Summer Dance, on tour across Denmark, as the festival visits Mors, Odense, Aarhus and Aalborg. Here, audiences can experience Denmark’s national company for contemporary dance outside under the open sky.

This year’s performance is Le Scénario by Philip Berlin

Le Scénario is a dance performance that celebrates the climax as a state of being: soaring leaps, vibrating energy and a playful gleam in the eye. Swedish choreographer Philip Berlin pays tribute to raw post punk sprinkled with sequins, while drawing connections to the free modern dance of the 1960s and 1970s, dressed in costumes that flirt with both Renaissance menswear and contemporary queer aesthetics.

The performance unfolds as one long crescendo. Light, sound and movement build steadily and wash over the audience. The focus is on the moment when the body leaves the ground in a leap toward the sky. The dancers leap at full speed, elegant, wild and unpredictable.
