Dance and Movement for Kids inspired by Our Performances
Danish Dance Theatre For Kids invites all young adventurers aged 5–9 on a playful journey inspired by our performances. Together with our world-class dancers, we go on dreamy explorations through sensory landscapes and playful challenges. We’ll choreograph superhero duels and slow-motion flower battles, transform into imaginative dreamcatchers, and so much more – always inspired by the choreography, music, costumes, props, or scenography from Danish Dance Theatre’s productions. Each session is different, ensuring there’s always something new, surprising, and fun on the program!
Each class is built as an immersive experience where children both witness snippets of performances as an audience and engage in movement games inspired by the performance universe. At the end of each session, we invite parents into the studio to see what the children have experienced and created.

Price: 225 DKK for three sessions
INFORMATION
AGE: 5–9 years. Open to all levels – no prior experience needed.
INSTRUCTORS: The activities are led by our dance educator Natalie Sloth Richter along with professional dancers from the company, who will guide and support the children.
LOCATION: Takkelloftet, The Royal Danish Opera, Ekvipagemestervej 10, Copenhagen
PRICE: 225 DKK for three sessions
PARKING & TRANSPORT: Parking is available in the garage beneath the Opera House (35 DKK per hour). Bike parking is available out front. The Opera House is also accessible by several bus lines, including 2A.
CAFÉS NEARBY: Parents are welcome to wait in our cozy foyer at Takkelloftet, where coffee is served, or visit one of the nearby cafés, such as Heart Bakery or the Opera’s new café Væksthuset in Operaparken.
