Betty Nansen Teatret and Danish Dance Theatre present a new dance performance directed by one of the most exciting artists on the international stage: Chilean Marco Layera.
Through an expressive physical language and an abundance of masks and costumes, a world unfolds—inhabited by people who look just like us but who also step beyond the human and become something other.
Layera’s work has been showcased in over 30 countries on more than a hundred international stages. He exposes taboos and can be perceived as provocative and unapologetic, imposing political responsibility on the theater. He sees it as his duty to use the stage and his artistic voice as instruments for critique and reflection.
