⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “a brutally beautiful dance performance” — SCENEBLOG

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “The dancers masterfully embody their humorous characters through a true pantomime of grotesque expressions. It is both caring and humorous, showing great respect for life, death, and fear.” — ISCENE

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “a sweeping and visually stunning horror comedy that reflects the times we live in” — CPHCULTURE

“The result is the wonderful, grotesque, and absurd dance theatre performance Before the End, which sublimely portrays the physical sensation of living on the edge of collapse.” — Danstidningen

How does it actually end? Will we be able to feel it when it happens? Will we get a warning? Or will it just go BANG! out of the blue? Is it something we do together, or do you have to stand there completely alone, right before everything ends?

BEFORE THE END is a dance performance about the moment before everything collapses. A dystopian carnival, an absurd comedy, an SOS from a nightmare you can’t wake up from.

The performance is directed by Chilean theatre director Marco Layera, who can now be experienced in Denmark for the first time. With an uncompromising and intensely physical language that goes straight into the body, he has established himself as one of the most compelling voices on the international stage.

In BEFORE THE END, he portrays — with both poetry and grotesque humour — the bodily sensation of living on the edge of collapse: the panic, the anxiety, the release, and the hope that someone will do something.

BEFORE THE END invites the audience into the most frightening moment we can imagine, to feel what it’s like to stand on the edge — and dare to remain there, together.

Join us, before it’s too late.

NB There will be strobe light in the performance.
