- World class contemporary dance & ballet at Ofelia Plads
Through the years, Copenhagen Summer Dance has established itself as a popular – and indispensable – Copenhagen tradition. This year, Danish Dance Theatre has the pleasure to announce that the company’s open-air event will take place at Ofelia Plads at Kvæsthusmolen.
Under the summer sky, the audience will experience some of the best of contemporary dance and ballet, curated by Danish Dance Theatres new Artistic Director, Pontus Lidberg.
This year’s program consists of a visit from New York’s ballet star Alban Lendorf from American Ballet Theatre and previously from The Royal Danish Ballet, two works with the acclaimed Cuban company Acosta Danza, choreographed by Pontus Lidberg and the Flemish / Moroccan master choreographer Sidi Larbi, while Marcos Morau presents excerpts from his critically acclaimed piece "Waltz".
