DDT's dancer Milou Nuyens recieves prestigious award

Danish Dance Theatre Dancer, Milou Nuyens, has received The Margot Lander's Award from "Skuespillerforeningen af 1879"

This award is given twice a year – this time at the association's Christmas event that took place on the 9th of December at Vartov in Copenhagen.

The last person to receive this award of 10.000 D.Cr. was Margrethe Schanne, a former prima ballerina at the Royal Danish Ballet. Other recipients include: Anette Abildgaard, Chairman of Danish Dance Theatre's Board of Directors, Lise la Cour, Managing and Artistic Director of Ballet San Jose School, and Anne Marie Vessel Schlüter, former Director of the Royal Danish Ballet School.

The founder of this Award, Margot Lander, was a member of the Royal Danish Ballet during 1917-1950.  As a primaballerina she introduced - together with her husband, Ballet Master Harald Lander - a Russian-inspired style of classical ballet thus contributing to the international recognition of The Royal Danish Ballet.

Congratulations to Milou Nuyens!
