WE ARE SEEKING A PRODUCER

As producer with reference to the COO you will have a central role in the administration as coordinator of all productions and production liaison between all departments at Danish Dance Theater.

Danish Dance Theater is one of Northern Europe’s leading companies with a permanent base at the Opera with choreographer Marina Mascarell as Artistic Director. The company is an independent institution with a framework agreement with the Ministry of Culture. In addition, the company receives support from a number of foundations for specific productions. The company presents between 40 and 50 performances annually, some of these on the Royal Theatre’s Takkelloftet and Skuespilhuset stages, in addition to a large touring business in Denmark and abroad. In addition, the company presents the annual Copenhagen Summer Dance festival.

Your tasks will, among others, include:

  • Production management: coordination with all actors involved internally and externally on all productions
  • Production budgets: research, preparation of project accounts and ongoing follow-up
  • Production and office logistics
  • Contracts with freelance employees
  • Rights, royalties and music credits
  • International tour management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with similar work areas from the cultural field and knowledge of performing arts  production
  • A relevant higher education
  • Flexible in relation to working hours, as evening and weekend work may occur in connection with performances
  • You thrive in an environment with a small, dedicated staff, where we develop and execute as a team
  • You are driven and you meet your deadlines.

Terms of employment
The position is full-time with entry on August 1, 2023.
Remuneration is based on qualifications and further agreement.
