Join Danish Dance Theatre at SMK Fridays and experience an excerpt from DRIP TEKHNE — our critically acclaimed dance performance about evolution and technology. Free admission.

At the first SMK Fridays of 2026 at the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK), you can experience Danish Dance Theatre live in the museum’s unique setting. For the rest of the evening, explore the museum’s exhibitions, create art yourself, and enjoy much more.

About Drip Tekhne
Drip Tekhne is inspired by the theme of evolution and is structured in four parts. We encounter primitive, animalistic bodies that evolve into hybrid mechanical forms and further into thinking, socialized individuals. Finally, the bodies transform into a dancing community — a celebration of dance as a unique technical use of our biology. The excerpt presented at SMK Fridays is from the third part of the performance.

The performance’s choreographer, Adam Linder, is known for his highly physical and visually refined works that balance urban energy with classical precision. His previous productions have been presented at venues such as MoMA in New York and Sadler’s Wells in London.
