In the days of 11 to 15 October 2006 9 international and Chinese theatre and dance companies - among others Danish Dance Theatre - will be performing in Beijing in relation to the China Europe Performing Arts Meeting.
The China Europe Performing Arts Meeting, covering workshops, lectures and roundtable discussions, will unite Chinese and European performing arts professionals, with the intention of creating more mutual understanding, artistic exchange and interaction to stage discussions on recent evolutions and future perspectives in the scene. The meeting will take place from 12 to 16 October in Beijing, and on 17 and 18 October in Shanghai.
It is organized by IETM, the International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts and CAPA, the Chinese Performing Arts Association, in close collaboration with a number of Arts Councils from Europe and Chinese organisations such as the Beijing Modern Dance Company, the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center and Theatre in Motion.
Access to the meeting is limited to professionals and scholars, but the performances are open to the public.
