Artist in Dialogue – For Your Ears Only
Lyddesigner Mikkel Larsen sætter med sin lydinstallation fokus på vores ører. Vi glemmer ofte at lytte og at zoome ind på præcis det, vores øre kan. For vores høresans er en af de fem sanser, vi ikke kan slukke for, og måske endda en af de vigtigste vi har. Lyd kan påvirke os på mange måder, swingende jazzmusik, bystøj, gråd, klukkende latter, skrattende radio og meget mere lagrer sig som oplevelser og påvirker vores inderste følelser.

 

Denne udstilling skaber rum til at lytte, og med teknikken “Binaural lyd/3D lyd” har Mikkel skabt et realistisk og altomfavnende univers, der tager udgangspunkt i det rum, vi befinder os i. Universerne er små historier, drømme, abstraktioner, modsætninger og stemninger.

Edhem Jesenkovic

From Bosnia-Herzegovina. In 1993 he emigrated to Sweden, where he discovered dance. His career took off when he in 1999 graduated from the Royal Swedish Ballet School in 1999. Since then he has worked with several projects and different companies including Danish Dance Theatre, Carte Blanche, Galili Dance, Ballet Gulbenkian, Ohad Naharin, Philipe Blanchard, Ina Christel Johannessen, Andersson Dance and Skånes Dansteater. He is now based in Copenhagen and has spent the last 6 years working as a choreographer with some of the most renowned dance companies in Scandinavia.

As both a choreographer and musician, Edhem Jesenković works intensely with rhythm, musicality and an insisting kind of humanism. He works physically with the performers revealing the inner layers of their personalities. 

Edhem Jesenković has a portfolio of acclaimed performances behind him including: M.E.N, 4 Times Hundred and the piece Dilemma of Obedience, which was created for Danish Dance Theatre and got nominated for The Danish Critique Award for best dance performance of the year. In February 2016 he received critical acclaim for his solo performance REPUBLIKA.

Edhem Jesenkovic won the first prize for "7x8 That’s all it is" in The Cross Connection Ballet Choreography Contest in 2009 and his piece M.E.N got selected out of 600 to be a part of Aerowawes Spring Festival in Barcelona, 2015.

Alessandro Sousa Pereira

From Brazil. Born in 1983. Educated at Galpao 1 Dance School, Indaiatuba, São Paulo. Danced at Lina Pentiado Danca Cia, Bahia Ballet (Ballet do Teatro CastroAlves), Tanz Graz in Austria. From 2003–2007 he was engaged at Ballet Theatre Munich under direction of Philip Taylor, working with choreographers such as Carolyn Carlson, Jirí Kylián and Richard Alston. Alessandro started as a dancer at Danish Dance Theatre in July 2007. The last years Alessandro has created several choreographies for TanzTheater Braunschweig (Germany), Scapino Ballet (Holland), Black Box Dance Company in Holstebro (Denmark),  Ballet Jovem Palacio das Artes (Brasil) Danish Dance Theater (Denmark),  the Royal Danish Ballet,  and Ballet Cidade de Sao Paulo (Brasil).

His choreographies have been presented in the Young Choreographers program at the Gärtnerplatz Theater in Munich from 2003 – 2007 and in the spring 2009 he won the 1. Prize at The International Competition for Choreographers in Hanover. Furthermore, Alessandro caused a sensation when his ballet Traditional cornered all the major awards at the Erik Bruhn competition in Canada in 2012.

Awards: Bayerischen Kunstförderpreis for his work as an outstanding dancer (2006), 1. Prize at the Hannover international Choreographer Competition (2009), Reumert Talent Award (2011), Foundation Albert Gaubier (2011), Best choreography at The Erik Bruhn Competition in Canada (2012).

Sebastian Kloborg

From Copenhagen. Born in 1986. At the age of 13 he started his studies at the Royal Danish Ballet School graduating in 2003 and joined the Royal Danish Ballet that same year. He danced in the full repertory of the company and took part in creations of world renowned choreographers. Following his graduation in 2003, the Royal Danish Ballet immediately took him on where he made his debut in John Neumeier's Romeo & Juliet at the age of 19. Following this, his career continued on its stellar path.

Appointed to the rank of soloist in 2009, he has danced principal roles in the renowned choreographies of the great innovators of the classical ballet and dance such as August Bournonville, John Cranko, George Balanchine, John Neumeier, Jiří Kylián, Jacopo Godani, José Limon, Angelin Preljocaj and Christopher Wheeldon. 

In 2012 he joined Gauthier Dance//Theaterhaus Stuttgart, Germany, under the direction of Eric Gauthier where he ventured into more neoclassical and modern works. At Gauthier Dance Company where he has danced in creations by Itzik Galili, Jiri Bubenicek, Cayetano Soto and Eric Gauthier, and furthermore he danced the role of Nero in Christian Spuck's 'POPPEA//POPPEA'. Besides his dancing career Sebastian Kloborg also co-directs the group Dancers of The Royal Danish Ballet and has organized the benefit gala 'Dancing for UNICEF' in 2011. He started choreographing in 2011 for among others The Royal Danish Ballet. His style of choreography incorporates mime, humour and seeks to bring back storytelling to the world of dance.

Tre intense bud på samtidsdans om magt, sociale strukturer & fysiske og psykiske grænser 

 

GENERATOR er et projekt, der startede op i 2017, og som giver tre unge koreograftalenter mulighed for at udvikle deres kunstneriske idéer og individuelle stil.  I 2018 vil den prisvindende brasilianer Alessandro Sousa Pereira fra Dansk Danseteater, den Reumertnominerede, bosniske koreograf Edhem Jesenković og koreograf og tidligere danser ved Den Kongelige Ballet Sebastian Kloborg fortsætte deres spændende arbejde med kompagniets dansere – og præsentere endnu et værk hver til GENERATOR.


Der vil være en gratis introduktion til forestillingen 30 minutter før forestillingsstart.



OUTPOST

En grænsepost sætter scenen i en fortælling om et menneskes rejse væk fra en verden fuld af undertrykte følelser og over til “den anden side”. Drevet af ønsket om at krydse grænsen bliver drømme og virkelighed flydende.

OUTPOST er en forestilling om grænser - og et menneskes forsøg på at bryde dem – både de fysiske og de følelsesmæssige.

KEJSER af Alessandro Sousa Pereira

 

En ’Kejser’ er her billedet på en magtfuld person. Han er gestikkens mester. En gestik der maskerer lidenskab og skygger for passion. Men hvilket menneske gemmer sig bag de ophøjede bevægelser? KEJSER er en fortolkning og en undersøgelse af et menneske med magt, og hvordan det forvandles, når magten forsvinder, og sårbarheden tager over.

DO YOU LIKE IT? af Edhem Jesenković

 

Koreografen Edhem Jesenkovic udforsker i dette nye værk sammenhængen mellem individ og fællesskab, selv og samfund. De tre dansere dykker ned i den menneskelige tilstand i en bevægelse fra kollektivets fælles rum til individets personlige rum. Hvordan fungerer vi i en gruppe uden at miste vores individuelle identitet af syne?
