LABYRINTH is an artistic, movable organism within a fixed architectural structure and time duration.
LABYRINTH is an installation formed from an unpredictable merging of dance, video, music and sound. Conceived and created by British/Danish choreographer Tim Rushton, Artistic Director of Danish Dance Theatre, it brings together creating and performing artists in contemporary dance, music and video art.
LABYRINTH is a series of maze-like corridors through which audiences walk at their own pace to reveal four performance areas on which dances are occurring concurrently. The labyrinth will also contain live classical and avant-garde music, as well as projected video installations, which will intersect with the dance spaces.
LABYRINTH can be compared to a gigantic, sculptural body, and as audiences pass through hallways, peeking through screens and entering changing landscapes, they can choose and combine elements of the installation to create their own individual tales.
